Community Dreams Foundation

Community Dreams Foundation

Community Dreams Foundation (CDF) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing access to resources for education, training, and workforce development in the green economy. CDF focuses on creating opportunities for individuals and communities to engage in energy-efficient and clean energy projects, ensuring a just transition to sustainable practices.

As part of their mission, CDF offers programs such as the Green Contractors Platform, which provides technical assistance to green contractors, and the Dream Team Academy, an e-learning platform designed to train individuals for entry-level positions in the green economy. As the primary community partner for the University of Miami’s Southeast Building Technology Assessment Center, which is funded by the Department of Energy, CDF has made building assessments and training new auditors a primary focus of building a talent pipeline directly from communities who are most affected by the energy transition! These initiatives aim to increase capacity and promote energy independence in underserved communities.

Dion Richardson, Founder and President of CDF, has participated in Sol Systems’ Community Impact Engagement Speaker Series. This series provides a platform for engaging and collaborating with grassroots organizations driving positive societal impact in under-resourced communities. Their mission aligns strongly with Sol Systems’ Infrastructure + Impact strategy. Through our infrastructure + impact strategy, Sol Systems looks forward to partnering with and promoting organizations with similar positive societal and environmental impact missions within the communities where our solar projects are located.
